We’ll look at how your past experiences, including trauma, attachment, and cultural influences, shape how you relate to yourself and others. Understanding these patterns will help you feel more grounded and secure, as we work together to develop healthier ways of thinking and being.

Our Methods.
Clients often come to me asking “What is wrong with me?” They don’t believe me, initially, when I respond, “Nothing is wrong with you. We just need to learn to listen to some of the unheard messages of your mind and body.” By being curious, non-judgmental, and gentle, we will find new ways to understand old patterns, hurts, and beliefs and how they have impacted your life, behaviors, and mood. ~Odette Tomlinson, LPC-S, TFT-Dx
The therapists at The Oak Grove use many different methods to help you hear your story. Often our oldest memories are non-verbal. Therefore, we use a combination of talk therapy with bodywork, somatic experiences, breathwork, EMDR, and thought field therapy-an energy-based therapy- to help us access and understand your deepest beliefs. Your therapist will encourage you to look at the parts of you that are frustrated and feeling stuck but also to listen to and see the parts of you that have reached out and asked for help. By leaning on your strengths, we will find the space to explore and listen to your unheard story. Your story matters and we want to help you hear it.
